'Showbiz' leads the way for Marco

In one of their best performances of the season, Marco scored over 500 to see off the challenge of the Monsters by 57 pins. After Marco hit 79 in their first leg, the Monsters responded in kind by hitting a 77 leg, however this proved to be the closest leg on the night. On an evening where they won every leg, Marco hit six legs over 70, whereas the Monsters only leg in the 70's was their first despite their best efforts the rub of the green was against them. With six players hitting over 60 for Marco, leading the way was Eric 'Showbiz' McConkey who hit 74 with excellent support once again by Pete Bolton with 70. For the Monsters A Crabb was top score on the night with 75 ending his evening with an 18, with M Tisseman providing good backup with 66.
