On the night that Goldies re-opened Patriots went on first and hit hands of 71 and 74. Wide Boys managed to reply with 5 stick-ups themselves and totalled 69 and 77 to be 1 up. The game then went downhill for Wide Boys as they were unable to hit another stick-up until their anchor man on the sixth hand. By which time Patriots had moved 43 pins ahead with very consistent skittling producing hands of 71, 71, 62 and 67.

Wide Boys managed to salvage a little bit of pride by hitting 69 on the last hand to claw back 3 pins, however this still meant that Patriots sealed a comfortable victory by 40 pins.
