Colliton Wide Boys 433 - 404 Milborne Woodmen
Wide Boys threw first and hit an excellent skittling hand of 66 with no stick-ups. Woodmen replied with a 61 to find themselves 5 down. Wide Boys second hand was a complete contrast to the first with some very inconsistent scoring of 2 x 4's, 2 x 6's, 2 x 7's and 2 x 15's, giving a total of 64 that managed to pull another 3 pins.
Roy Fowler had a flopper on the third hand that helped Wide Boys to a score of 69 which left them 18 in front. This flopper proved to be the last stick-up of the game for either side. Wide Boys then skittled steadily with scores of 61, 56, 60 and 57 to secure a comfortable victory by 29 pins.
Colliton Wide Boys now meet Slingers in the semi final at Frampton Arms, Moreton on Tuesday 6th May.
