3CA ended Skimmers hopes of facing The Imps in the semi finals with a 48 pin victory. 3CA started with a 57 hand and went 2 up but a poor second hand of 53 gave Skimmers a chance to pull them back and Skimmers moved 5 pins in front. Skimmers went 2 more pins in front on the third hand but 3CA came back with a 65 hand and Skimmers could only follow that with a 54 hand that gave 3CA a 2 pin lead. A 78 hand put 3CA 15 up and another big hand of 76 put them 30 pins in front and ended any chance of a Skimmers come back. Another 8 pins were added in favour of 3CA on the last hand to give them a 38 pin victory. Top men for 3CA were Brian 'Stumpy' Newton and Steve 'the weakest link' Prior who both hit 60.
3CA now face The Imps in the semi finals at the Chalk and Cheese, Maiden Newton on Tuesday 6th May.
