Jim Bob top as Breakaways hit 503

Breakaways 503 Colliton Wide Boys 468

Breakaways stormed to a stunning victory over in form Wide Boys at Wool on Friday night.
Wide Boys were on first and hit hands of 68, 64 and 67 but Breakaways were flying and countered with hands of 76, 78 and 81 to give them a 36 pin lead. The next three hands were fairly even with both teams averaging around the mid 60 mark, and Breakaways went into the last hand 39 pins in front. Wide Boys finished with an 81 hand to give them some hope of making the margin of defeat respectable but Breakaways also finished with an excellent hand of 77 to win by 35 pins.
It was a special night for Jim Bob the Breakaways sticker up who is playing his first full season for them, he hit an excellent 71, and for the first time he was top score, he was closely followed by the usual suspects as The Dog hit 68 and Half Pint hit 66.
Paul "Totters" Leneghan was top for Wide Boys hitting 74 with four stick ups including an 18.
