Haime's 23 has the Imps singing

Brewers Bees 441 The Imps 471

The first hand was disappointing for both teams as the Bees hit 52 and the Imps only managed to pull 4 pins hitting 56. Bees again struggled on the second hand hitting 56 but the Imps game came alive with number two man Martin Haime having two floppers and scoring 23 (the second Imps player to have that score this season) two 13 stick ups from Barry Gosney and Keith Wyatt gave the Imps a 34 pin lead. This kicked the Bees into action and over the next three hands scores of 67,68 and 69 were hit and the difference was reduced to 20 pins. On the sixth hand the Bees hit 71 with stick ups from Dave King, Wilf Chainey and Andy Dunford, but the Imps unlike the previous three hands had the perfect reply hitting 73 with stick ups from Mark Ackerman and Andy Taylor to go 22 pins up. The Bees failed to leave the Imps any target only hitting 58 on the last hand while the Imps hit 66 to win the match by 30 pins. Top man of the night was the Bees Wilf Chainey who had three stick ups and scored 74 while Martin Haime backed up his 23 with 8's and 9's to top the Imps scoring with 71.
