Management aim for 3 in a row
Dorchester's committee mixed team the Management have again entered the Blackthorn British Championships in the mixed competition. The previous two years have seen the Management reach the finals weekend only to fall at the first hurdle, but this season they will be hoping to go a step further and make more of an impact if they reach the finals. The team lead by Brian Newton will be playing there home matches at the Vic in Dorchester.

Slingers reach the semis
Slingers became the first team to reach the semi finals of the knock out cup this season beating Breakaways on Thursday night at the Trinity Club. Slingers won by 23 pins hitting 448 to Breakaways 425, top score of the night was Clive Williams of the Breakaways who hit 67, while for the Slingers Mike Park hit 65. Slingers now await the winners of the Wide Boys v Woodman game to see who they play in the semi final at the Frampton Arms on Tuesday 6th May.

Section A fixtures
Thursdays big match between Patriots and league leaders Marco Wanderers has been cancelled by the Goldies. The rest of the matches are being played on Friday night, the best match sees 3CA host the Brewers Bees. Second placed Wide Boys play away at the Gurkha Inn against Skimmers who have moved the pins in to different spots. At the bottom end of the table Hammers host The Imps, Muckspreaders travel out to Wool to take on the Breakaways, Colliton Spares entertain Slingers while Puddletown Wanderers play away to Dewlish Monsters. Milborne Woodman have their bye.
Mostyn skittler of the week
Martin "Mostyn" Murray was skittler of the week in the men's section hitting a massive 82 for Section B winners Allsorts in their home victory over Steamers.

Colliton Devils won their Ladies Section A match against Forget-Me-Nots at the Colliton Club on Monday night by 16 pins. Top score for the Devils was Hayley Ackerman with 57 while Davina Fea was top for the away side with 57.
